INSTRUCTIONS
LOOK 1: Front Fall
For this look we are creating detail at the from of your body, and keeping the neck warm and snug.
Fold your scarf lengthwise in half, or thirds depending on how thick you want you want it.
Image 1 - Asymetrically drape the scarf (lengthwise) around the back of your neck. One end will sit around your bust or waist, and the other end is what we will wrap & create the warmth from.
- Wrap the scarf twice or thrice, depending on what’s comfortable around your neck, and your height.
2 - Once wrapped, bring the end back to the front. Using your non-dominant hand cross the long/wrapping end over the short end.
3 - From the top, put your dominant through the created hole and pick up the long end, from underneath.
4 - Grab the crossed over long end with your dominant hand. and bring back up through the hole your arm went through, you may have to
Hard to understand? We added some visuals. Chloe, in Australia, is using an archive sample of similar proportions.
LOOK 2: Capelet
With a scarf of this size, this styling tip is a wonderful way to showcase more print and create a wonderful print-on-print detail on the back, while creating a soft draped look for your front.
Unfold and open out your scarf, place the scarf evenly across your back, the length running your arms length, and the width down your back.
Image 1. On your shoulder gather and pull the scarf up until it reaches a height you like on your back/bottom.
2. Bring the ends to fold in your elbows, like an open shawl.
3. Drape the right end up and over the left shoulder, do the same with the left end over the right shoulder.
4. At the front you will have a soft cross-over drape, at the back you will have a firm horizontal line with 2 soft draped ends.
The scarf used by Chloe in Australia is an archive sample knit, so much thicker than the Remy, but with similar proportions for draping.
