TRAVEL

Bali, Indonesia

I wanted to go somewhere familiar to dip our toe into travelling with a toddler, and my partner and I have both visited Bali. We had 12 days, and stayed in 3 locations, more than I would usually choose, but we were meeting up with some friends., and their toddler.

The kind and smiling people of Bali meant we felt welcome everywhere, we ate alot, visited temples, and hired a motorbike allowing us to stop and start our day as required.

My favourite of our 3 stops was the secluded, undeveloped village surrounded by rice paddies, and simple locally-owned food stalls and a few cafes, that have a feeling of what is to come in the next 5 years.

We visited Canggu, Ubud and Sukawati.

EAT - Oh my, you will be spoiled for options. My hands down favourite meal was in Ubud, a ‘Breakfast Curry’ served with charred croissant.

SLEEP - We stayed in Villas through AirBnB, each with a pool, the perfect addition to the humid air.

DO - Visit some temples, find a cooking course and walk slowly through a quiet back street.
