HOW TO TIE A SCARF
100cm SQUARE | STYLE TIPS
We’re sharing tips for tying your large silk scarves as a fashionable face covering.
This is a 2020 specific style, perfect for covering your surgical masks on errands, and a new way to wear it how you love it.
What’s Needed:
100cm Silk Scarf - Leah Lilac
Optional:
Surgical Mask
Kirby Grips/Bobby Pins to secure
If you have long hair tie it into a low ponytail before you start
INSTRUCTIONS
Place your scarf open on a flat surface.
Fold your scarf diagonally, making a large triangle.
Bring the centre of the folded line to the bridge of your nose, keep tension and move your hands to the ends.
Tie a single knot at the back of your head, above you ponytail if applicable. Reposition on your bridge to a comfortable position, tighten or loosen the knot accordingly, then tie a second knot to secure.
That’s it!
Finish by styling the look to your style. Wear the scarf over your top, or tucked into your blazer or coat, like Amanda. Tie a bow at the back for an extra boost to the look.
We encourage you to try a few versions to find your own preference. Secure with Kirby grips/bobby pins at the back if needed.
The surgical mask worn underneath means you’re safe and protected on your errands and outings. Please follow the advice given by your own countries governing body. Be safe and take care.
