TRAVEL
MARrakech, MOROCCO
I had the lucky chance to visit Marrakech last month. Apart from escaping the excessive cold weather that we have been having in London, I had wanted to walk around the souks for a long time, they often don’t get great reviews but personally I enjoyed the hustle and bustle. I loved the amazing pinks of the buildings, the brightly coloured carpets and textiles (admittedly not that much authenticity but a few very delicious antique pieces). We escaped the busy souk life and spent a relaxing day at the Beldi Country Club just outside the city where there was a very small souk which included a small glass blowing factory, a carpet shop and some beautiful ceramics, all reasonably priced and no bargaining!
About The Print
Inspired by classical Brazilian 1920s art nouveau, where repeating motifs resembling gems and jewels made up from layers of tonal stripes form squares within squares, creating a classical design.
