Para Todos Magazine
Whilst researching our SS23 collection we fell upon the heavenly covers of Brazil’s Para Todos (trans.for all) magazine published in the 1920s.
Under the close art direction of Jose Carlos de Brito e Cunha (July 18 1884 -October 2 1950) they celebrated the unique age of Brazilian art deco flappers and jazz. I have always been interested in magazine covers, they are such a great representation of contemporary pop culture, fashions and entertainment of the day. His covers draw me in, they seem somewhat psychedelic, his use of line, shape and colour are mesmerising and leave me with a feeling of joy.

About The Print
Inspired by classical Brazilian 1920s art nouveau, where repeating motifs resembling gems and jewels made up from layers of tonal stripes form squares within squares, creating a classical design.
